I am not 100% sure about this as I usually have trouble with it but I think
after you have done INIT, click on the variable you want to watch in the top
window and it will be displayed in the bottom window and updated when it
changes.
(or at least thats the theory - whenever I try it I usually get an error
along the lines of 'Unable to resolve variable.)
